Ornamented with a prettily lacy design which is different to each side, this mid 19th century locket is a nice size and quite substantial, with a solid feel in the hand. Of mellow coloured 9ct yellow Gold it opens to reveal compartments for two precious images with both of the original frames and snaps closed pleasingly. A really pretty sentimental piece which would make a lovely gift.
The construction is 9ct Gold 'back & front', meaning that the hinges and frames are of brass or other base metal for strength. It measures just over an inch lengthwise.
