An antique Georgian era necklet of miniature natural Seed Pearls, each of which was painstakingly drilled by hand 200 years ago; dainty and charmingly innocent in their simplicity. Each of the tiny Pearls has its own baroque shape and lustre dictated by the work of the sea creature who formed it and adding to the many hours which have gone into creating and restoring this modest little necklace which is somewhat of a mediation in our fast-paced day and age.
It measures 16 inches in length and so lies beautifully just around the base of the neck and it has been laboriously rethreaded in our workshop. It fastens with an antique 9ct Gold barrel clasp.
